How Many Number of Sentences Should a Paragraph Have?

There isn't generally a required number of sentences to make a paragraph, yet there are a few rules you need to consider. A typical paragraph is comprised of 3 to 6 sentences. Paragraphs are intended to express a focal thought (or central idea).They can consist of any number of sentences as long as they meet the structural requirements.

Structurally, a paragraph has three essential parts: an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. The introduction includes a topic sentence and any extra sentences expected to give background information. The body of a paragraph incorporates facts, illustrations or examples to support the topic sentence (found in the introduction). The conclusion frequently echoes the thought displayed in the introduction, and gives an extension to the following paragraph. Paragraph one of this article is a typical example.
