It is no news that the
National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the result of the 2019 (June/July) Senior School Certificate Examination.
However, the general public and most candidates are unaware of the new and easy
way of checking NECO results online. Unlike before when candidates used scratch cards to check their NECO examination results, the new way of checking
NECO results online requires candidates to purchase token(s) before
they can access their SSCE, BECE and NCEE results. According to the National
Examinations Council (NECO), the new Results Online System offers a
convenient way to check all NECO examination results. Once results are
released, it will be made available via NECO Results System (http://result.neco.gov.ng).
With this token, candidates can check their National Common Entrance
Examination (NCEE), Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and Senior
School Certification Examination (SSCE) results. The token(s) can be shared
with candidates, parents, schools, organizations or any person who wishes to
view the candidate’s result(s).
With these three steps, candidates can easily check their NECO
examination results online:
STEP 1: Register on NECO Results Online System.
How to Register on NECO Results Online System
1. Visit https://result.neco.gov.ng/register
2. Enter your name.
3. Enter your phone number.
4. Enter your email address.
5. Think of a good password and enter it in the password column.
6. Click register.
7. NECO will send an Activation Email to your registered email address.
8. Open your email, and click verify. If you don’t have email, click here to
create one.
STEP 2: Purchase Token
How to Purchase a Token to Check Your NECO Examination Result(s) Online
1. Go to https://result.neco.gov.ng/login.
2. Enter your Email address/phone number and your password in the
required columns.
3. Then click on the Login button.
4. Locate and click on Purchase Token. Please, note that each token can
be used with only one result for a specific number of views.
5. Enter the number of token you need and click on the Pay Now button.
Please, note that a token costs N500, plus N50 service charge.
6. Now click the Proceed to Pay button to pay for the token on REMITA
platform using bank or card.
STEP 3: You Can Now Check Your Result
How to Check Your NECO Examination Result(s)
1. Go to https://result.neco.gov.ng/.
2. Pick your exam year.
3. Pick your exam type.
4. Enter your Token Number and registration number in the appropriate
columns.
5. Finally, click on Check Result.
