Borrowing data could be
useful most of the time. Data is life, and your smartphones could be of less
use to you at that time if you don't have it. Your mobile network provider has
got you covered when you run out of mobile data and don't have enough airtime
to buy a new bundle. Here's how to borrow data from all Nigerian networks; and
you should be on the network for at least 3 months before you can borrow data.
How to
Borrow Data on MTN Network
On your phone, dial *606#and
choose the xtrabyte option. A list of data volumes that you can borrow and the
cost of each will be given.

The value is
between 20MB and 2GB. The more involved you are on the network, the greater
your borrowing volume of data. Once you recharge your mobile next, the amount
owed will be deducted.
How to
Borrow Data on Airtel Network
A 15% service charge will
be deducted from the amount of airtime you borrow, i.e. if you apply for N200
credit, your mobile will be credited to N170 while N30 goes to Airtel as a
service charge. Follow the instructions below to borrow Airtel NG data:

Choose option 3 to borrow data

How to Borrow Data on 9mobile Network
You can only
borrow airtime from 9mobile at the moment and use the borrowed airtime to buy
data as 9mobile does not permit borrowing data. To check that you are worthy,
dial *665*3#, or text STATUS to 665; dial *665*amount# to borrow some amount,
or text the amount to 665. N50, N100, N200, N500, N1000, N1150 and N2600 are
eligible for lending. You will be charged 15 percent as service fee.
How to
Borrow Data on Glo Network
Glo's
"Borrow Me Data" allows customers (who have been on the network for
at least three months) to borrow data from the network by dialing *321# on
their Glo lines. You can borrow up to 1.6GB of data or more depending on your
eligibility status. Glo also charges 15% transaction fee for this service.
