The Reason Why You Shouldn't Depend Solely on Your Salary

The Reason Why You Shouldn't Depend Solely on Your Salary
The moment you get out of bed and wash your face and drink water, pure water companies count on you.

When you brush your teeth, Pepsodent, Close Up or Oral B earns from you.

When you charge your phones, laptop(s) and other gadgets, NEPA/PHCN reads its meter and earns from you.

When you move from your house to the office, taxi, danfo, okada or keke (tricycle) owners count on you.

When you drive your car, filling station owners collect their share.

When you check your WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms, the bank accounts of telecommunication companies get credited while your account is debited.

So, before you get out of the house, you have already paid all these companies something. You have already spent money. How then do you foot these bills when you go to bed every day without making at least N10? This is the major reason why you need an additional source or multiple streams of income.

It is high time you started thinking about how to make money every day. Think residual or passive income. Start with a small targeted amount, and grow as you go. Start with something that will give you a little cash even if it is N10 a day. It is better than going to bed without making even a kobo.

Let’s put our faith into action, take risks and start something! Salary alone cannot solve your money problems. You need secondary sources of income to create a balance. It will also interest you to know that salary is a medicine for managing poverty; it doesn’t cure it. Only your business or investment cures poverty.
