A Letter To Governor Henry Seriake Dickson

Your Excellency,

With reference to my letter dated 23rd July, 2016, it is evidenced that you have not only confirmed a sentence in the letter which states, 'I know you have a pious heart hence will not allow such evil to prevail' but have also validated the authenticity of that statement by your prompt response to my letter.

I first read it online @www.bodmasnews.com that you have called our mother and my siblings back but decided not to believe it until I heard it from my siblings. My conscious unbelief later overwhelmed me with an exceeding gladness when my siblings called to tell me that they were already in school. Candidly speaking, that was the 'sweetest' news I have heard since May 29, 2015.

Sir, I must commend you for your prompt response to my letter and my siblings' plea on the streets of Yenagoa, on social media and other print media. It shows that Bayelsa State is not governed by the whims and caprices of a single man; it shows that there is hope for Bayelsans; it shows that weeping in Bayelsa State may endure but for a night as joy must come in the morning; it shows that our mother(NDU) is married to the most reasonable man on earth and it shows that you are a man who listens (especially to your children) and a man of the people.

Meanwhile, I also appreciate our mother(ASUU,NDU and her non academic staff) for accepting your offer in spite of the ill treatment. It is obvious she has the well-being of her children at heart.

In unison, my siblings and I are saying, 'Thank you for reviving our mother! Thank you for reviving our citadel of knowledge! A million thanks for #bringingbackNDU# and A bigger thanks to you for not letting the dreams and aspirations of many drown in the vicious ocean of strike!' We love you!

Long live the glory of all land and her governor! Long live the students( both graduates and undergraduate) of NDU! Long live our beloved Niger Delta University and her staff! Amen!

Yours faithfully,
Signed
Tammy Reuben.
